| Who is Quarriers |
Quarriers is a Scottish charity committed to providing practical care and
support for children, adults and families. We believe that each of us has
the right and deserves the opportunity to live, work, socialise and be accepted
within our own community.
We are delighted that Arran Aromatics share our vision of an equal and just
society where everyone can participate in and enjoy life. |

How Quarriers makes a difference to some of Scotland’s most disadvantaged |
In
Scotland today, thousands of people urgently need support and
care to overcome physical, mental or emotional problems. But for
many, especially those who are living in poverty, the support
they are offered is of a poor quality, or it is simply not
available at all.
For over 130 years Quarriers has responded to the changing face
of society, constantly meeting the needs of some of the most
disadvantaged. Today our highly committed and dedicated staff
spread across Scotland help over 17,000 people every day. Our
work focuses on supporting; |
| |
| |
Adults and Children
with a disability |
| |
We provide residential or
community-based care focusing on individual needs and personal
freedoms enabling people to make their own life choices. Our
short break services enable parents who care for a child with a
disability to have some much needed time out to recharge their
batteries. |
| |
|
| |
Children and families |
| |
Our friendly and warm
family centres offer advice and promote good parenting skills.
We provide nursery facilities, drop-in services and support
groups. Our childcare services allows parents under pressure the
time and opportunity to train or work part time. |

Homeless young people |
| |
Quarriers offers long-term
accommodation for homeless young people, as well as short-term
emergency shelter, practical information and help to overcome
issues such as alcohol and drug addiction, giving them the
skills to live an independent life. |

Young people |
| |
Some young people may have
chaotic home lives which lead directly to difficulties in
mainstream schooling. Our specialist support team help young
people in this situation to cope with and overcome their
problems. Where this is not possible our own residential school
can provide a safe alternative. |

common serious neurological condition in the UK today. Through
our fieldwork service, and unique National Epilepsy Assessment
Centre, Quarriers reaches out and gives practical, emotional and
social support to 13,000 people with Epilepsy. |
